Foto Verde Open Signup Photo Adventures
Foto
Verde Tours' open signup itineraries are the
perfect fit for those photographers looking
to travel to great photo destinations, improve
their photography, and share their experiences
with other photographers. Because these are
group itineraries, we are able to offer special
prices to our participants. We arrange everything
from the time you step off the plane in Costa
Rica until your departure flight back home.
Leave the logistics to Foto Verde, and concentrate
on your photography and enjoyment of Costa Rica's
amazing ecosystems and people!

Costa Rica offers
a myriad of photo opportunities – including
active volcanoes, waterfalls, jungle canals, hummingbirds,
toucans, howler monkeys, and poison frogs –
and you will capture them all! Against this magnificent
backdrop of biodiversity we will learn how understanding
composition, natural light, flash, movement, and
color allows you to produce magical photos. And
taking advantage of our specially chosen ecolodges,
we will be able to process, review, and fine tune
our digital photos so they are ready to hang on
the wall or showcase on the web. And if you have
a spouse or traveling companion who is not a photographer,
bring them along so that they can enjoy our destinations
and the many optional activities such as horseback
riding, birdwatching, canopy tours, and rafting
that we will be happy to help arrange.
All of our open signup photo adventures
are led by Foto Verde Tours' own Gregory Basco (see
Greg's CV here), a Costa Rican resident nature
photographer and environmentalist. Greg is always
excited to share his knowledge of Costa Rica's photographic
opportunities with you, and our open signup tours
give you unlimited opportunities to photograph with
and learn from Greg, who will provide informal and
formal learning sessions throughout each trip. Our
small group size ensures individualized attention
to help you get the most out of your camera equipment
and to bring home professional quality photos bursting
with color and light. We will also help participants
to identify and write captions for their favorite
photos so that they return home with complete information
about their images. Trip participants will receive
a copy of Greg Basco’s brief guide, the Costa
Rica Photography Primer, prior to departure.
Visit Greg's own photography website, Deep
Green Photography, to learn more about his images.
